Meet Julia Davie
Natural Health Specialist
Hello and welcome! I am a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Registered Yoga Teacher and Certified Holistic Birth Doula servicing the Ottawa and Outaouais region. I am passionate about nutritious food, holistic health, and inspired living. I am excited to be part of your journey towards increased health and wellness!
After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from Trent University, I embarked upon my own journey of holistic healing and turned to yoga to combat anxiety and improve my overall health. I instantly fell in love with not only the physical aspects of yoga, but also the more subtle mental and spiritual benefits.
My passion for yoga quickly turned into curiosity for the human body, and for the foods that are most nourishing for it. I registered with the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and graduated as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist in 2012.
Growing up the daughter of a midwife, my interest in labour and birth support was something I have always had. I have attended births with my mother since I was a baby. After having three beautiful children of my own, I realized first hand how crucial the proper labour support is and felt compelled to become a Certified Birth Doula. I registered and graduated from the Holistic Birth Doula program with Motherwit Doula Care.
With so many mixed messages about our health, deciding which choices are right for our body can leave us feeling a little lost and frustrated. Whether it be through nutrition and meal planning, private yoga classes, or holistic birth support, my aim is to support individuals and families to make choices that fit their individual needs and help them feel their very best.
My Birth Doula services centre on choice and empowerment. I provide customized birth support for the labouring person and their family. It is my priority and goal that my clients experience their best birth.
I provide one-on-one nutrition services and counselling in Ottawa and online. My services focus on individualized diet, supplement, and lifestyle recommendations, including: -Digestion -Hormone Balance -Mental Health -Fertility Nutrition -Prenatal Nutrition -Children’s Nutrition -and more!
Knowing what to eat and how to prepare healthy food is critical to our health at every age or stage. I provide custom meal plans that are personalized according to the specific conditions, restrictions and preferences of each client.
Supporting pregnant women and their growing babies is a deep passion of mine. I provide customized prenatal nutrition recommendations, prenatal supplement recommendations, and lifestyle suggestions.
As a Registered Yoga Teacher, I support my clients and students with classes that uplift, inspire, and provide specific therapeutic benefits. I provide in-person and virtual yoga classes in groups or as private classes.
